cobalt admin apache corrupted !
Hi, my cobalt apache is corrupted so I can't access the /admin, /siteadmin or /personal anymore. I've been trying to fix it for a bit now but with no success. I don't want to do a restore. I've got no sites on it. Does someone know how I could restore the original files by hand ? If it would be possible could someone post here a backup of the cobalt apache tared and tell me the right commange to untar it keeping the right permissions etc ...
I know there are quite a few gurus around on the forum,
Could someone please try and help me. Maybe even reinstall apache... but I wouldn't know where to start.
Thanks in advance ,
Hoot

Well I'm afriad that it didn't work well the /admin and /personal and /siteadmin still don't come up, I thought that a reboot should start up the admin apache, maybe I have to start it by hand, what is the command ? Thanks

I've just read a bit deeper, the script isn't for restoring apache but for restoring the admin pages them selves, the /admin, /personal and /siteadmin files are all OK but the apache that allows them to run is not,
Any ideas ?

Hi, can't anyone help me ? I guess that my next solution is to try something like taring the admin server apache from my raq4 and sending it to my raq3, I bet they are not compatible, but does anyone know what the tar instructions would be to keep everything with the same permissions etc ...

then gzip it, you should preserve the structure and permissions, though it might not solve your problem.
Have you tried the Sun Cobalt forum?Blacknight
