Looking for a shared hosting, 3$-6$ a month

I'm looking for a shared hosting with 3$ - 64 a month price. I can presignup for 1 year payment if the hosts requires that to get cheaper prices.

Some features I need:
- At least 500 MB space
- At least 100 GB transfer/month
- PHP (I prefer for version 5, but 4 is ok depends)
- MySQL 4 or 5 (1db at least)
- FTP (1 user at least)
- some control panel like cPanel or so
- GD library (2.0 or newer)
- Free domain included within the hosting package
- (Private domain registration) not required but would be nice
- 1 email account at least
- Catch all for emails
- Email forwarding
- SMTP
- no hidden fees charges or so
- Host has been up for at least 1 year

Can you suggest me some host ? I can prepay for 1 year or maybe 2 depending on price, etc...

I'm a web developer and graphics artist.

It will not happen with a reliable hosting company.
You can get dreamhost for about +$20 for the first year (with a coupon) or netfirms.com/max for $10 for the first year.

What do you think of InfluxHost.net or Haabi.com ? Or what do you think of HostDepartment's unlimited plans?

Haven't heard about them but you can try searching for them on this forum.
I don't trust unlimited offers either
As a web developer ...can't you spend more to get quality hosting for your success?

Do a search around here, you'll find plenty of complaints about companies offering plans like that for that price. If you really want something reliable, raise your budget. One more thing, do you really need 100GB transfer?

Well i dont think any reliable and quality host will provide you 100GBs of bandwidth for $3 per month, no matter if you pay for 5 years in advance

wow, those requirements are pretty high, i don't know of any hosts that offer all those features but if some "hosts" do, be weary as that is alot of resources your getting for pennies. Good luck in your findings

The requiremets you are wanting are a little out there for just about any company with half of a brain. The only way you might be able to get it is if you find a overseller that really oversells. By that I mean a company that doesnt think you will be needing that much bandwith.

You might be able to find a overselling company offering that much bandwidth for $3 per month, but be ready to commit for at least a year or two and the host you find might not be as reliable as you might think.

To the OP, can I ask you a couple questions? Honestly, I don't mean to sound like a smart a... You said your a web developer and graphics artist, how much did you spend on your software? I would guess this might be for a business? If so, how much do you spend a month on your cell phone bill? How about your Internet connection? And you want to put your important files and designs on a host and only pay pennies? Honestly, your requirements are on the high side and your budget is quite low. I ask you again, do you really need 100GB/month? Or is 4 or 5 more of a reality?

Well. As I said 3-6$. So I found a nice host which offers 6.95$/month if prepays for year - HostMonster.com

You get 4.95$/mo if you prepay for 2 years. They offer 200GB space and 2 TB transfer. They do oversell thats for sure.

I have been searching for reviews, mostly they have good or excellent feedback.

What do you think of HostMonster.com ? Looks pretty good, eh?

Powweb.com sounds good. I'll think about it, do you suggest using it?

I do need near 100GB bandwidth due to high quality graphics and massive traffic which lead my last site down due to bandwidth exceeding.

For some reason people are saying "you cannot get good host for 3$", but I said that I can use 3-6$. You see?

After thinking a while, I can spend max 100$ for a year for the hosting. So 8$ a month will be maximum if I get free domain with the one year payment.

I am looking for fast and reliable servers which have at least 100gb bandwidth and 500 mb space. The price amount can be max 8$ a month if I get the free domain with hosting plan. Can you suggest me what could be good host?

And also, I do not care customer support a ****. I have been dealing with these kind of stuff so much I don't need customer support. If the hosting works then it's all fine.

Thank you for your help!

You may want to search about bluehost.
Is the same company, if after research about them, you think that's good enough for you, then, go how much can you lose? how important is your site for you?

I'd stay away from them, only had bad experience regarding bluehost performance - that including bandwidth, server- and mysql-performance.

Even for $6/m which is the max you'll spend (I believe) is a bit low. You're better off going for a host that oversell.
