I agree, at least she got something. That's life, when I was in school you either bought lunch or brought lunch. If you didn't do either then you didn't eat until you got home.

People should care about more than money! At least one of the lunch people could have been a little generous. I remember when I had no lunch one day, and I can't eat meat... the lunch people were really nice about it.

Here in the US we get free breakfast and lunch 
If the servers are pretty nice, they give you a second time too. In HS, after students finish eating (last lunch period), they would give us all the remaining french fries (which was aloooot). It was that time that I learnt that french fries taste better with mayonnaise and ketchup mixed.

I can not stop laughing. lol When i went to school they would give people a turkey sandwich.
Back in high school families who made below the poverty line got free lunch.
