Beachcomber Server Activation

Just want to know, if someone else has problems with server activation from beachcomber.

I'm with beachcomber for more than 18 months, and ordered new server yesterday. And I'm completely unhappy, because they always waste my time before activating new server. They require to scan credit card, driver's license and payment authorization form, and send this stuff to their sales dept.

This is not my 1st server with this provider, and I sent tons of these scanned cards and signed forms to them previously, so why the hell they always ask to do the same? Is it very hard to keep my forms and use them later? I ALWAYS use SAME CARD to pay, so what's the problem!?

Ordered another server yesterday - the same request for scanned credit card. Emailed them, that i'm not going to waste my time anymore and they have more than enough scanned copies of my card. Still no reply, server is not activated. So i ahd to send these forms again today.

Also they NEVER NEVER NEVER reply when I send forms, so I never know if they started activating my server. When I emailed them yesterday, their sales dept didn't bother to email me back.

Conclusion? Beachcomber support is GREAT and I'm happy with them, but their sales department is the worst sales department in the world. They never bother to communicate with me, and I hate it. Please improve your service!

They resell for many providers, think abotu this route, so sometimes they are not that flexible. I have no ideas why they ask for CC scan again, but it maybe a canned message

Yes, I know it's automated request, but why oh why their sales do not respond to my emails? I'm tired to scan and scan it again, because sales dept ignore my requests to use previously scanned cards (which were sent tons of times to them) and I need to re-send everything again, otherwise server is not activated

That's really cool - forms were sent 2 hours ago and I asked them to email me immediately once forms are received - still no email from sales like always. Is it the new way to do hosting business?

Why don't you have a look for a new provider?
It is a hassled process from my opinion.
They should ask you for cc scan once only when you first sign up.

Looking for new providers as well. I really like Beachcomber tech support (that's why I am with them), but their sales dept starts pi**ing me off more and more, day by day.

Update: Still NO REPLY from sales, server not activated.

In most companies sales is only open limited hours, beachcomber has an extremely good reputation and i think you should give them a little slack considering it is the weekend and your business hours are atleast 6+ hours ahead of theres.
