I would get a treo running windows... I picked up a 700wx a while ago and it rocks... if you are not stuck on cingular, I would look into sprint sero plan... $30 for 500 minutes and unlimited data, nights start at 7 pm, etc, etc.... great deal.

With Cingular look at the Nokia E62, I have the E61 here in Australia.
Difference in the two being the E61 has WIFI the E62 doesn't.

Seems Cingular is worried people in the US will use it to make VOIP calls and cut them out if they include WIFI with it since it comes preloaded with the software for VOIP calls.

Mine has been very very reliable, battery time is fantastic and it takes a ton of abuse. Every kind of email client you could want is pre set up in it, web browsing, ssh, IM etc.. on it all work flawless.

I've personally always been a fan of the Treo (currently have a 650 but will be getting a 750 soon) though windows mobile has surpassed the PalmOS over the last few years IMO.
