Yahoo Domain and GoDaddy Hosting
Hi,
My client's domain is registered on Yahoo but wants his site to be hosted on GoDaddy. How can I make this work?
Thanks,

He has to contact the registrar (Yahoo) and change the nameservers to GoDaddy.
He can get the info from GoDaddy or it should be in a welcome letter he got when signed up for his hosting account at GoDaddy.

He's not asking for domain registrar recommendations as his client has already reg'd the domain with Y!
The OP is asking how does a Y! reg'd domain point to a GoDaddy hosting account

If he just wants the domain content hosted with godaddy then it would be as simple as updating the nameservers which can be done from within the yahoo control panel.

It can take up to 72 hours before a domain resolves to the new nameservers. Their is a lot of factors involved, including the fact that your ISP may be caching the A Record.
You can use dnsreport.com to follow the progress. dnsreport will probably reflect the nameserver changes before you see them. During nameserver changes, some visitors may see the site on the old host, while others see it on your new host.

Singup for Godaddy (However I would recommend finding a better host) and then the welcome email will give you Name Servers to point your domain to, so login to Yahoo and change the Name Servers. This can take up to 48 hours.

I honestly reccomend godaddy for domain registration and domains ONLY! They have amazing support, but their hosting is not as good as some others.
It was a good choice to switch to MidPhase.
