Does anyone have a copy of Front Page 2002 version that they don't need any more and would be willing to part with? I have a client that insists on using it, and they are unable to connect no matter what we've tried. I need a copy installed (shudder) here so I can test and troubleshoot, and would rather not fork over a lot of cash for a product that has less than a year to live....
I'd done that, but they are insisting on using this version, in spite of all the negative things with this. As long as the extensions still work, and thier copy will still work for updates, they love it and won't willingly change.
Do you use a control panel of some sort? If so you might want to ensure FP is installed correctly through your FP. Or resetting the login/password for FP.
I've completely reinstalled the account and installed the FP extensions back onto it...no dice. I really need a local copy to try for myself instead of make a change...wait until he tries...make a change...Makes me look bad.
I've reset the account password, but not specifically the FP login password, as I believe that's the same as the main FTP. Can you elaborate?
If you are a hoster, you should be able to get a copy under your SPLA license.
Never heard of this but a quick search of the MS site shows I'd need to sign up for several MS programs to qualify for applying, then pay monthly fees. It's also entirely possible that, as an end of life product, FP 2002 won't be on the list of titles. Thanks, but a one time purchase of this "gem" would be simpler and cheaper, I'm thinking.
Ah, I'm not offering Windows hosting, just LINUX with FP extensons for the occasional client. I have Cpanel servers, so the username and password is the same as the main account login.
Thanks, I have tried Google and Ebay. Both come up with $80 or higher licenses, or lower (Ebay) with several days to go on the auctions...I was hoping someone here had one they weren't using.
As fate would have it, this client has seen the light. He still wants something WYSIWYG...and is buying Dreamweaver instead. Outstanding choice, and since he's an educator, he gets a hefty discount, so he's getting the studio.
Got another one away from FP.
No longer needed, so closing. Thanks!
