Ok - I've managed to setup my cPanel box to allowed connections to port 995 for receiving POP email over an SSL connection.
However, I can't get sending to work.
cPanel 10.9.0 Stable
I allow outbound ports 25 and 26.
I'm not sure where to put them in APF to allow this.

This is the error I receive in OE:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'mail.EDITED.com', Server: 'mail.EDITED.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 26, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Error shows that you are still using 26 for sending mails.
YOu will need to edit your outlook configuration to use secure ports to send/receive mails over secure ports.
Click the Advanced tab
Under Server Port Numbers Incoming server (POP3S): 995
Under Server Port Numbers Outgoing server (SMTPS): 465; If you ISP
