    CSS Help

    I have recently forced myself to create websites with css templates instead of tables and make the sites entirely without the use of tables and it has been a very hard change.

    I recently created: and if you look at the bottom of the page (in IE it's both left and right side and in FF it's only right side) that the border is not extending to the footer of the page. I know the reason it's not extending is because I have to div (left and right) that are floats for the body of the page in between the header (flash) and the footer. I have the barkground set for both left and right div ids for their proper image so it goes down, however, since they are float it only goes as far down as the div itself.

    Is there any way to stretch to divs to attach to the footer or a work around for it. I have a div called container that has both the left and right div but I am not sure how that would work.

    Can someone help me resolve this issue.

    This should really be in: Web Design and Content

    Anyway, what you might want to try is adding a height: NNN.px to your right div.

    #right {
    	background: url(../images/right.jpg) top right repeat-y;
    	float: right;
    	padding: 5px 50px 0 0px;
    	width: 405px;
           height: 500px; /* or whatever the height is */
