    What's your dedicated server for?

One of the most interesting (or horrifying) concepts of working in any level of the hosting industry to me has always been seeing what people do with the service that you provide.

That makes me wonder what the breakdown starts to look like amongst this very select market segment here on these forums. So, if you're willing to share, let us all know what you're doing with your servers. And, if not, well.. don't.

For all practical purposes, I tried to categorize the biggest niche's I've seen in the poll, but I realize this is still probably a very incomplete scope of users. If that doesn't cover your business, by all means post.

I have some I use for shared hosting, some I use for personal sites, and one used for a forum.

The rest are sitting in the kitchen, used for hot plates.

May be because of the fact that members had more than one option to choose from?

My server is just for personal use.. I host about 5 friends who have websites, I give out shells and BNC's to people, I host my own websites (blog/artist website) and use it for file storage and finally I just experiment with like ipv6, postfix, security and maintenance and so forth.. Extremely fun and I learn a lot

PS: I guess I also do some torrent seeding on my torrentflux but that's uberhush! :p
