Is it possible to limit server load per user who uses PHP scripts?
Is it possible (or if anyone has) to have ability or some script that will integrate into apache or something and will tell limit CPU load per directory (hence user)?
Eg: I don't want one high traffic user using like 2% load.
Please let me know....
Apache doesnt calculate by CPU, hence this might not be feasible.
Moreover, its hard to separate out whos using how much CPU.
About the only solution I could think of would be to make a script that queries mod_status (module for apache -> http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_status.html).
With that you would have a shot running it in a cron, but it's far from a concrete solution.
You can inplement PAM limints with apache suexec, I've seen patch somethere.
But it's not about 2%, there is no way to limit cpu usage at all, only priority, cpu ticks and so on.
