    SPAM: E-mail

I know that SPAM is all part of being on the Internet..there is no real wait to avoid it.

Is there anything that a web hosting company can do to report email spam - ie add the IP address of the mail server to a central database that people share and contribute to?

You are talking about RBL here. RBLs maintain list of all spammers. You report them spam you receive and you can also use their services to filter your own emails. Some best RBL's are <sbl is best and must have list>
