NEED HELP BAD!, cpanel and mail not working

    Hey All,

I set up a new account the other day and everything was set up as normal.

My client cannot recieve their emails through outlook express and I cannot open their cpanel thrugh their url.

I know I set everything up correct, and even deleted the account and created it again.

I am lost on this one, this has never happen to me before.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks
    David

Normally, that shouldn't happen because there is no seperate settings in Cpanel server for a particular domain that can affect the accessing speed.

    Please do the following things.

    1) Ping the domain from your local machine and make sure that the domain is pointing to the correct server.

    2) Are you using any proxy while accessing pages via browser?

    3) Check the cpanel error logs (/usr/local/cpanel/error_logs) to see if there is any error reported while accessing the cpanel.

From your above post, I guess you are able to fetch mails via Outlook. If so, the issue might be related with their local system settings only. Ask them to check whether the outgoing port 110 is blocked by the firewalls or Antivirus settings.

I believe that is whats going on. I am trying to walk them through it. They use norton, so I think that is whats happening.

Might be Ask them whether they are able to access the port 110 by running the command 'telnet IP 110' in the command prompt that shoule help you to analyse the problem.
