Hi, i want to start VPN service in my area for 50+ client. This VPN will need to avoid isp from throttling p2p traffic like bitorrent. It's like gateway to internet. I need to manage every user account with ease. Which package most suitable with me, with traffic 60GB per day. I dont need much space, any advice will be appreciate.
I assume you are planning to run this on a VPS? If you are considering Virtuozzo, Linux will support the OpenVPN server which allows for both user and/or certificate based authentication. You will need a little help from the provider configuring it but it should work well. With Windows Virtuozzo you are stuck waiting for version 4.0. The current version of Windows Virtuozzo will only support a client based VPN connection, not a server. If you are using Xen, MSVS, VMware, then your options open up. Still, OpenVPN is a great application and even has windows and mac based client guis. Plus the best part about it is that its free!

Thanks, that means im better with dedicated server. What's the average cost for my requirement.
Thans for help.
Average cost of a dedicated server powerful enough to handle the VPN connections or cost of setting up the VPN network? Also, it depends somewhat on the type of applications your remote users will be using the vpn network for... If you are looking to do large file transfers you are going to have some definite overhead from the VPN as its encrypting packets between the 2 endpoints. Think of it like scp vs ftp when compared with an unencrypted bittorrent upload/download. Its tough to say exactly but you are definitely going to need some CPU power here to handle the simultaneous VPN connections and the total throughput.
