I would be VERY careful of any merchant other than the common ones (authorize.net, 2co, bluepay, worlpay etc...) do the research on the potential merchant account your getting as they can be a nightmare and a scam.

I wanted to use Protx, but they require you have a merchant account!
And if merchant accounts are that expensive, it could get quite expensive for a small business!!
I want to take my own CC and when my script creates invoices it submits the data using such method as API to the processing company, so my customers do not have to visit the processors website.
How do you guys process your payments?
you do not have a lot of choices, since you really do not want to use any foreign payment gateway to process your money.. the bank will charge a lot for processing it.. so you are really stuck with the bank.
If you are banking with Natwest and is a member of FSB, then you can use the FSB discount for the streamline part which is only 1.5% (if I remember correctly) then you can then use Protx.
I do not bank with NatWest and the last time I ask Streamline, they will not take my application because of the type of industry we are in. Be warn also is that the bank will sit on the money for quite some time before releasing to you and charge you an arm for it. I currently have to wait up to 45 days to get my money... and there is nothing I can do about it.
