How long does an OS reload at ThePlanet take?

We submitted an OS reload request at The Planet. Anyone have any idea on how long it takes?

no idea, when i got me steadfast server setup it came with 32-bit Centos, so i asked them could they change it to 64-bit, they said no problem, and did it in 20 minutes total, and for free. :-)

Good luck on that, hoefully they have upped the response time.
Last time I needed an OS reload on a live server that had crashed with sites down and customers screaming I was told they had a 48 hour SLA on OS reloads and all my begging, pleading yelling etc.. did no good they took 32 hours and did not care that my clients sites were down the whole time.

That is why we are now down to one monitoring server only at theplanet and will never buy another one there.

Yep, back in the day when we rented dedis, servermatrix, which i believe is as good as the planet took a couple of days for a reload.

definitely not something you can afford if you are offering web hosting.

Yeah, it may actually be faster just to purchase a new box ...

Last I heard/remember, new deploys take a couple days too.

just to clarify the reload i had with steadfast, the order form there states 'Centos 4.4' and doesnt distinguish between 32 or 64 bit, so i forgot that be default its generally 32-bit they install unles you ask for 64-bit, which i didnt do, so it wasnt an error, but it was an accepted point of misunderstanding and confusion. it wasnt deployed with a wrong version, just not the version i wanted, which i forgot to ask for lol.
