I got an email from them on the 14th that they are working on moving my vps to another server. My server was down on the 16th from 11:30am to around 4:30pm. than it was down on the 18th from 5:30a to 7:20a. My vps is still down from since 19th 1:57am and is now around 8pm, that's around 18 hours than I found this thread. Any updates?
We can only guess and hope for the best. At the price they are selling, can't complain too much. Just wish they would at least send their customers an email to let them know about the network status. Specially when it is down for more than 20 hours now.
I just got an email from veggiehost and my server has been moved and ip changed; this was something we agreed on. That explain why my vps was down because the dns was pointing to the wrong ip, anyway, I wonder if that is whats happening to their main site too.
I got the migration message last weekend and have heard nothing since then. Now my vps is down again, and their website isn't reachable to submit tickets. I've had a few minor outages in two months with them, plus vps is often sluggish. I was hoping this migration would help, but I don't have any confidence in them right now. I haven't moved any of my sites to them, and now don't see how I could consider it.
Progress report: I haven't gotten any response from Veggiehost to email or ticket, but now I'm able to SSH to the new IPs for my migrated server. Right now it's just a bare Debian system with none of my files on it. Since they haven't communicated with me I don't know if they are attempting to restore my files or if those are lost.
I wasn't using it as a production server and I can easily restore the lost files, but I no longer have any confidence I can use the server as a production environment and some communication would be nice. Some compensation for this mess would be appreciated as well. I'll let you know what they do.
