    Expired domain - lost it?

I have a domain with dotster that expired on 13/11/06. Is there any chance to reclaim it or is it too late now?

After expiry there's a REDEMPTION PERIOD. The domain will be held in this status for a maximum of 30 calendar days, after which the domain will be deleted within 5 days.

Better be quick, I heard some story that it may be lost.

What does a whois lookup status of the domain say?

The Auction Partner for Dotster is now Snapnames. If it hasn't been deleted (then you could register anew) then you might consider placing a backorder at Snapnames.

    Here's what I found in dotster's site:

    http://www.dotster.com/domains/renew/

After the 5-day grace period, the domain will be deactivated and placed into a 30-day* Redemption Period. (NOTE: Some domains may not make it to the redemption period if they are purchased by a third party. Be sure to renew your domains before they enter redemption status.)
If they didn't auction the expired name to an interested party, I'd say it's likely too
late. But do find out the domain name's current status as stu2 posted.

That as why I asked what the whois said? I would imagine that providing it isn't in Pending Delete status, it could be redeemed at Dotster.
