Its dead for me in Ireland. I would say its not an issue with colo4dallas.net but an issue with my ISP or other carrier. Dead on the 4th hop. I checked with a server in Texas and can connect no problem.
We used to use Colo4Dallas, but it went down weekly.
Rubbish, we have been there for 2 years + and I can honestly only remember 1 or 2 outages (and they were announced) - I think 1 unannounced outage at most and that was a DDOS attack on an upstream provider - they responded quickly and rerouted traffic...
If you would be so kind as to forward your account name to me I would be glad to verify those claims. If there were tickets I can make sure to check it out. None of the employees I talked to were able to find your account information.
If that claim was true you would surely see it on WHT.
Hi Matt - a little off topic, but, can you provide me with some first hand experience WRT their remote hands...
I think their rates are awesome !!!
We have never really had to use remote hands - but, I would not mind giving our guys some more flexibility and less time at the DC and just purchasing some remote hands time from them for some day to day issues...
Can you give me some examples of things they have done and what sorts of things you utilize remote hands for? (feel free to PM me if you do not want to discuss publicly)
Its like heaven at colo4 compared to a lot of other providers!
Agreed - this is our 4th DC and we have been here the longest by far and plan on expanding our relationship with them - I am actually fairly certain we will move all of our voip servers there and out of Toronto - we always thought that it is more important to have VoIp servers local to our primary target audience for that product - however, our tests yield just as good and even sometimes better performance from C4D (shocking, at least to me - but true)
