Ok so recently i have created a website that i now want a review on. Some navigation isn't in order so to navigate the site please use the links on the side, not the flash. You can watch the intro thoug. thats working.
tell me what you think. i want to make it a small home business. so all of your comments will be put into consideration
I'm a horrible website designer myself, but here are some tips to get you started. I'm sure others will add more.
I enjoyed your flash presentation, although I didn't have sound on so I can't comment on that.
It seems that the buttons on the flash header are not aligned horizontally (see screenshot below) which makes a big difference to a detail-oriented person.
On the flash header, I definitely appreciate the highlight on mouse-over but I'm not sure I like the flashing of the text. Perhaps remove it or slow it down?
All of the text on your website is bold. Perhaps you should bump up the font size a bit and remove the bold. I do like the emphasis (in red) on select keywords that jump out at me, such as on your FAQ page (unique advertisers/full page ad, etc). It catches the eye of the visitor.
Finally, here is a screenshot of what your site looks like on Mozilla Firefox 2, at 1024x768. I'm not sure where the guy that looks like he's leaping from a building is supposed to go, but I know that it's probably not in the middle of your introduction paragraph.
I do have some more things, such as decreasing the size of the left-most table (where the navigation is) to make more room for your actual center page, and putting something into the blue space right underneath your logo.
Hope that helped a bit and best of luck with your business
ok ive fixed a whole load of things. i tried making the links on the left side smaller or thinner for that matter but it really threw off the site alignment. i fixed the flash links and everything is working. hows it look in fix fox. i paced the images in a table to better help keep them in place.
Here is a screenshot of your main page in Firefox 2. Here is a screenshot of a subpage in Firefox 2 with some changes that could be made highlighted in red. (accidentally saved as a low quality jpg, oops)
Maybe tidy up the left-hand-side navigation, as the column changes width depending on the page your are in and the font could really be changed to arial or a san-serif font, like in the main content window
