Looking for a host , need some help
Hello, this is my first post, Im looking for a new host , I need to get the acct asap as I am about to run out of bandwidth. I am currently at bluehost with 2tb of bandwidth,I need atleast 5tb but would like 6tb /mo.
dreamhost offers 5tb at 79$/mo shared but i heard they are very slow with mysql sites, and my site mainly runs off of mysql.
any other suggestions? I want to pay 300$/mo max for hosting.
any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks,
jay

I would highly recommend a dedicated server for what you want. You can find a managed dedicated server at : http://www.choopa.com

Ditto. At $300/month, you should be able to set yourself up with a good dedicated server offering. Bypass shared hosting altogether; you're ready to play with the big dogs.

10megs connection can give you around 3000GB transfer/month
make sure to search about the vendor before doing any order

100 Megabits refers to the amount of traffic that can pass through the servers connection at any given point in time. There is almost no reason (other than cost, if you've got a tight budget) to choose 10 Mbit over 100. The deal you mentioned at fdcservers seems to be a good one, though I know nothing about the company.

While I wouldn't recommend shared hosting for your site, I do wish you the best of luck. When you're ready to switch again soon, the WHT community will be ready and waiting to help you out. Cheers!

With a budget of $300 your best choice would be dedicated web hosting. Then you wouldn't have to worry about bandwidth and space issues.

If you're looking for 6TB of bandwidth, don't even look for a shared web hosting provider.
Find a dedicated server, and you might want to increase your budget also $300 is not a realistic price for 6TB of bandwidth.
Take a look at SoftLayer, 6TB of bandwidth would be around $400 extra + server costs monthly.

That is one heck of a lot of bandwidth - you need a decent dedicated server which will set you back over a few hundred dollars a month.
