The end of 3zhost?
I received this email today from 3zhost support:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This message has been sent to all of 3zHost.com customers.
Sorry to inform you about this. Ryan Hein has sold 3zHost.com to
another higher company, however the new hosting company is not going to
add our customers to their servers. All customers who have paid for
this month will receive a pro-rate credit by email. This means that you
will have to find a new host. Again I am sorry for the inconvenience
and sorry to break the news. Just as you all are loosing your hosting,
I am loosing my job! Here is a list of recommended hosts:
Reseller Hosting
----------------
MCHOST.com
Shared Hosting
----------------
Downtownhost.com
I have also been notified that my email address and all email addresses
that 3zHost.com does have will be deleted in 24 hours. Again, I am very
very sorry and sad. I will certainly miss those customers who I really
got along with. If you know about anyone who is wanting to hire an
experienced tech support rep, please do let me know at
vicgrc13@msn.com! All employees have officially been released from
3zHost.com as of 12:00 A.M TODAY.
Sincerely,
Victor Garcia

If I were you I would send an email to them to make sure this may be a guy that has lost his job and is getting his licks in. Customers are a hosting businesses best asset hard to believe another company would buy a host and NOT want the customer base.

If you go to the 3zHost.com there is no announcement which you would expect if they are letting all the customers go however none of the links work which would indicate they are taking no more orders.

Read the following thread. It concerns me that 3zhost would seek new customers for two year prepaid plans and close their doors a few days later.

WebHostingTalk needs a fresh new slogan and warn new visitors to these forums looking for cheap, oversold hosting.
How about.. easy come easy go? .Last edited by option; 06-28-2002 at 11:14 AM.

it's been confirmed:
"All of the personal emails have been deleted. We will send you a refund via mail within the next 3 weeks. We have to get our billing database cleared out. I am very sorry for this. Will you need help finding a new host?"
What a pain in the ass
Funny, it was only 2 days ago that they offered me that 2 year special for $100.

Amazing....
but not a surprise....happens alot!
ALL THE MORE REASON for consumers to do their own research on hosts, and not RELY solely on WHT posters!

I understand ... almost
I understand that hosts can find they made a mistake or can't afford to continue. What I have a difficult time with is that they wait until the last possible minute, when they could a bit earlier easily sell the customers, avoid the pain and agony, and even salvage a bit for themselves.
