Sorry, just wanting to vent a bit of frustration at 123 for not providing an option to get EPP codes from your control panel. It wouldn't be so bad but for the fact that they also very rarely reply to email (the last few weeks have been no exception), and today I'm finding them also unable to answer their premium rate phone-line.
Honestly, is this an intelligent ploy to delay people from transferring domains long enough that you have to renew with them, or are they really just that useless?
I have a client who has let their domain expired. Since they are on VPS, so i set up nameservers for their domain and use that to point their domain to the hosting. After the domain was redeemed (with a large amount of money changed hand), for love or money, I cannot get the nameservers to be register again. So I ended up have to transfer them out of 123-reg. And it took me 1 week to get the code.
IMO, they make it as difficult as possible to use other people's hosting to recoup the cost of such low fees. .co.uk name is actually sold just above wholesale price.
