    search and delete

    i have a .htaccess that contains these codes:

    Code:
    <Files file1>
    ForceType application/x-httpd-php
    </Files>
    <Files file2>
    ForceType application/x-httpd-php
    </Files>
    <Files file3>
    ForceType application/x-httpd-php
    </Files>
    Is there a way to open the .htaccess file and look for these lines in the .htaccess file and delete it, whilst leaving the other code untouched?:

    Code:
    <Files file3>
    ForceType application/x-httpd-php
    </Files>

    It is a big security hole to allow a .htaccess file to be read live on a server.

    If you don't mind this, use fwrites http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.fwrite.php
