I am a long time client of IRDHost. Yesterday we got this email :
This message is to notify you that after more than 7 years at your service, IRDHost irdost.com was sold on January 3 to Cyberdog rakserve.com.
Cyberdog is a dynamic company which is focused on customer service with support and server technicians who will take care of you. Cyberdog will make this transition as smooth and transparent as possible. No action is required on your part. Two changes will be made during the coming weeks.
The first change will be a migration of server blank to server Pug. This migration is being made to better serve you and keep our hardware up to date with the latest standards. This server upgrade will be to two dual core AMD processors and 2GB of RAM. This migration will be considered scheduled maintenance and will occur on Sunday, January 14 at 12:30AM PST and will last approximately 4 hours. DNS will update immediately so users should not incur any downtime or data loss.
The second change will be made to operation URLs. Originally support requests were handled at oursupport.info and billing subscriptions were managed at darfos.net. For your convenience these domains will be redirected to one new domain, members.rakserve.com, where you can both submit support requests and manage your billing subscriptions.
The Cyberdog rakserve.com team will be happy to answer any
questions or issues you may have. Feel free to contact us at any time at [email protected]. Thank you for your patience and loyalty. Your business is valuable to us.

What a surprise! After all the recent problem Darfos (IrdHost) have encounter (PEER1 saga) they decide to buy their own server and I was under the impression that all would be returning to normal, guess not!
So as of NOW, all my site and domain names that are host on the IrdHost server don't work anymore! Wow! Thansk a lot! It seem that the president of IrdHost, that goes along the name of "IrdHost" on this forum, have decide to shut down all his server or something like that.
OK fine! So I have go to Cyberdog Hosting (rakserve.com) who is also a member of this forum name "CyberDog478" to see if I could find some support and guest what? The support don't work (support.rakserve.com) ??? And I can't login in the members section since I am not a member ???? Really all this is frustrating.
For a reason I don't understand, I can't Private Message either on those guy in this forum. I don't have the privilege. That's why I am writting this post.
So if you read this CyberDog478 please reply me. I don't want to wait up to the 14 January to have my hosting back. Last time I already lost 3 months of hosting along all my datas, this is enough.
Plus my hosting at IrdHost is pay up to March 2008 + a compensation of 6 months free hosting for all the recents and past problem IrdHost have encounter. And believe me they were many! This is the only reasons I stay there, because I have paid up to 2008 and they would not refund me.
I sincerely hope that CyberDog Hosting will prove better than Irdhost. There is many wrong link on the website and this really, but really don't look good at all!
I conversed with an Erik B via e-mail this afternoon. Just to let everyone know the situation in my e-mail I stated that people could contact me via support (at) rakserve.com and so far 2 people have with no trouble. support.rakserve.com is sitll udner dev. and oyu ar enot a member of my billing system ebcause I didn't get your account copied yet. The plan was to copy all the acounts over today so I could begint o recieve any support requests that may come in. I was just as surprised as you however when I noticed that IRDHosts server was down shortly after talking to Emeric (owner of IRDHost) about a clients billing schedule. He usually takes a day to respond so I don't expect an answer until tomorrow. He said he would renew the server for another month since the transfer of the actually CPanel accounts ins't until next weekend.
Regardless I have done everything in my power to resolve this issue. I even purchased a paid acount on dnstools.com to pull up past whois records to try and find a phone number for Emeric and found two, both didn't work. For now I am at a loss since I can not:
- Inform users of the outage
- Fix the outage myself
- Transfer clients profiles over to my site so they can login
The main issue with IRDhosts setup which made it impossible to notify users or continue to transfer lcients profiles or recieve support requests via IRDHosts support system is that all these sites are hosted on the same server! I hear from a past client of IRDHost that this and outage trouble is standard precedure. I personally have two separate hosts for my udner dev. server status page and have a remote host for my "members" support and billing site to prevent this issue.
In addition IRDHost doesn't seem to have a server management team or any means of auto restarting a downed server. Another mistake that will be fixed after this weeked.
Thanks for everyones patience, I'll update this thread and my contact us page as I get details.
Update: I was notified by Emeric that the provider server4sale.com has been notified of the outage. Now that I check you are the same ErikB that I talked to via e-mail and it seems we got all the details worked out. Please feel free to post a reply or contact em with further questions. If you have another cusotemr of IRDHost viewing this thread you too are welcome to e-mail sales (at) rakserve.com. In the mean time I'm trying to contact server4sale to escalate the issue. If you are a Cyberdog customer reading this, service is going uninterupted as usual.
The server is down once again! I've had possession of the company for 4 days and the server is down again 2 days away form the migration. This is really annoying me, especially since the owner Emerik who is on wht too disapeared. I have e-mailed him and am waiting for a reply. I contacted the datacenter and they shut the server down due to spam complaints...go figure. I can't get any more information on it though to resolve the issue myself. Will keep you posted...
Well I am not surprise at all. Can't wait for the migration!
I am lucky to still have all my most important website host elsewhere. I was force to buy hosting elsewhere (BlueHost) when IrdHost was down for at lest 2 months in a row.
If I were you Robert, I would stop wasting my time with Emeric and do the migration as soon as you can.
Way ahead of you. I have scheduled an emmergency migration as soon as the server is brought back online. As it turns out IRDHost never took any hardening measures to secure the server. No even disabling nobody user and x-headers which is the number 2 spam cause. This is probably due to no one managing the server and only keeping profits in mind. I will update this once the transfer is complete and DNS propagation has started.
