    * What FTP software do you use?

I use cuteFTP, but I am considering a change now that my drive just crashed and I can't find my license info...

So what FTP client software do you use?

I find CuteFTP the best ftp software out there. (maybe its because I been using it for the past 7-8 years.)

I use FileZilla, although I did go through a phrase of using WSFTP. I recall WSFTP lacking one major feature that I needed, although I don't recall what feature that was.

Does anybody else get the impression FTP programs seem to retain users better than most other software? Had it not been for that lack of feature in WSFTP I would have been using it for six years, and each time this topic is brought up people seem to say they have been using their particular FTP software for a very long time and wouldn't ever consider using anything else. Maybe there are only so many features one can fit in to FTP software, and this limit was hit years ago and as a result everybody is happy with their choice?

I use FileZilla as well, and it works wonderfully. I'm curious as to what their Version 3 holds, but I've been using version 2 for about 2 years now and it hasn't given me any problems (unlike SmartFTP, which loves to crash and corrupt files).

CuteFTP Pro v7 is the best. Ive been using it for years and love it. The main reason i like it is because of its built in text editor.

Filezilla has worked great for me, I used WS_FTP for many years until I found Filezilla. I might checkout that FireFTP plug-in Tina mentioned, I just love Firefox =)

Same here. Extremely easy. I use a combo of this and cPanel to do everything I need with files.

I'm using CuteFTP Pro and I wouldn't reccomend it! When my server worked very slow and I tried to edit some files, CuteFTP deleted my files and instead put some strange .pureftp038934 files in my folder. And I couldn't delete them! When I connected to my server next time, they were gone. Mystery.

    Hi
I have been using Total Commander for 2 years. I think it is the best one, because it is easy and fast.
