    Best place for domain registration

My opinion is godaddy.com. They have the best prices at $8.95 and are very reliable

    any others?

    I Agree...

GoDaddy is the best in our opinion as well. They are cheap and everytime we call them they are more than helpful

they are good! You should search these forums and you will find more registrars that offer domain name registration below 10$ per year for com/net/org.

Transferring domains names from GoDaddy is a great hassle. I believe they changed there policy as of recently. But it is a little to late for me. They milked there customers entirely to long for to just forget about there past policy. Therefore I now do business with Powerpipe.com

I think GoDaddy.com still have 60 day period before you can succesfully transfer away from them (I mean domain should be 60 days with them..).

Yes, it usually is. Doing so will involve modifying your domain's DNS info. I don't believe I've ever come across a company that charges for this...

I tried transferign to them and it was a hassle. A reseller of mine needed dns, and coudltn with his current registar. I paid for the transfer, waited liek 3 days. And then it failed, lost my 9.00, lol.

Domain registrars should not charge you if they fail to successfully transfer your domain.

Domain transfers fail at least 30% of the time these days. Eventually they finally get through, but first time attempts fail often enough to be a problem.
