    Arrow Backup Server Suggestions

    Hi All,

I am wanting a server to backup too online. Just something that is good enough to handle rsynch from our current server. Our current box has an 80gb HDD in it that I wish to backup reguarly.

Any suggestions on somewhere to find an old box (PIII, or 700mhz - 1ghz etc) with an 80gb hdd ? Don't need management etc.

Any help appreciated. Or should I just look for someone overselling shared hosting that has shell access ?

    Regards,

    Joel

Why not just a backup service? Bqbackup does great. With a great price too!

As you can see here: http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread...light=bqbackup, many others agree

went to their site but unclear on their services. Do they back up everything on my server to their server? Do they do it or do I have to do it?

Yup. There is a full tutorial as well which helps you setup rsync and start backing up immediately . Plus bq has some excellent uplinks and speeds.

    I've got a 1TB account with them...

Scott and his company are both very professional and very affordable. You won't go wrong.

Order a few hours ago, waiting for someone to send me the account details, welcome email etc etc.

Then I can get on with setting up this server, i'll give my feedback and opinion on the service from a newbies point of view in a few weeks.

    Regards,

    Joel
