1TB Announced By Hitachi?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/pcworld/2007...pcworld/128400
I think I will get some when they do come out $399 price tag is very attractive for all that space. Might just get half a dozen to fullfill my needs. But since the hard drive show is next week I wonder if Seagate will also introduce 1TB in the first quater* of 07' with more details of course.
What are your thoughs on this? I think I might hold off on the 750GB and get these when they do come out. I just hope they come with some kind of extend warranty for that price that would be so *awesome*. I can't wait!!!!Last edited by peruviantalk; 01-07-2007 at 07:32 AM.

Good to hear, you can never have enough space, I have got about 650GB in my machine at the momment and am using about 560GB. But I think I will hold off for a bit as its a case of putting all your eggs in one basket.

Plus the advantage to smaller drives is that if you were to lose it for any reason, you wouldn't be losing as much data or music or videos or whatever.

It's finally here! The TV/Phone or Phone/TV.
The Apple iPhone
For those that need to see the person on the other side of the conversation. And it even runs OS/X! And it also has GPS! You can also, like all other gadgets seem to be able to currently do, browse the internet.
On second thought, I think I'll create a separate thread since this in not exactly related to the subject at hand.

Have to remember that Hitachi false advertises 1GB as 1,000 MB, when it is really 1,024MB. Therefore, it would be hard to expect any difference with their fake 1TB.

I don't need that much, but I'm glad it is out.... can't wait to see 300 gb drives for $60 or so.
MS, HP and others seem to be pushing server in the home, so these drives should come in handy. In addition, with people setting up TiVos and the like, recording TV, movie downloads, music, etc, etc.... these drives might fill up fairly quickly.
I remember many years ago thinking, who in the hell needs 30 GB? I had a 20 GB drive then. Now I sit pushing close to 100 GBs.Windows 10 to Linux and Mac OSX: I'm PARSECs better than you. Eat my dust!!!
