(in your opinion) is this a fairly-priced server?

    specs:
    Dual Intel Xeon 2.4 HT
    4 GB RAM
    2x80 GB HDD
    CentOS 3.4
    Direct Admin

    FULLY MANAGED
    (by dedicatedplace.com)
    DC: LayeredTech

    Price: $259/month

I wonder if i am paying more for what i am getting since 2.4 can be said to be 'outdated'

Xeon 2.4 is little old, new processors can get you better performance compared to old cpu's.

The question is being diluted by looking only at the server, you state its fully managed, that comes at a cost, so $259 for a dual xeon, 4gb ram and 2 drives whilst also being fully managed is in my opinion a good deal.

    4gb ram isn't cheap - I'd say it's reasonable.

Does it work for your business and are you happy with the reliability and level of support you are getting?

If so then yes it is reasonable and don't change it.

Seems reasonable unless you are getting less than 500gb traffic.

    Enjoy the server!
