    yum update fails

    Well when I try to run the yum update, it fails

    Code:
    [email protected] [~]# yum update
    Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
    Server: CentOS-3 - Addons
    retrygrab() failed for:
      http://centos.yum.sagonet.com/3/addons/i386/headers/header.info
      Executing failover method
    failover: out of servers to try
    Error getting file http://centos.yum.sagonet.com/3/addons/i386/headers/header.info
    [Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error >

    any clue as to why its happening? I stopped all firewalls before trying it.

    Seems there yum repository is down, i would ask them.

    Or get a new mirror for your centos install.

    It appears as though the repository you are using is not a standard one. Generally, the repos are at mirror.centos.org. Try using a default yum.repos.d file.
