NationVoice Billing Issues, anyone have advice please?
I subscribed to NationVoice for a Ventrilo server last year for a price of $20.99 per month. At the beginning of November 2006 I strangely found a charge of $99.99 that had no explanation at all. I reported this issue within the 30 day time period that NationVoice states they will honor refunds within. It has now been over 2 months since this charge and I have still not seen a refund in any way shape or form. I was informed that the refund would temporarily go on my NationVoice account as a credit for future monthly payments until a proper refund could be credited to my card. This did not happen at all.
I orignally subscribed to the Ventrilo service because my guild needed it for World of Warcraft which I have recently ceased playing. I informed NationVoice that I no longer needed my server due to this and they quickly dealt with the cancellation which was great. I was then told that although my server was suspended I could still login to my support center to view tickets etc. However, when I proceeded to login to check on the status of my refund I was dismayed to find that my email address no longer existed in their system. I have since sent emails to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] over the past couple of days and I have not received a single reply. The last email I received from them regarding the billing issue was on January 2nd in which I was told :-
"I will forward this to our billing supervisor for proper review. We may have to find an alternative way to refund you if your bank is not accepting our direct deposit.
You will be contacted by our merchant department this week.
thank you again for your patience

Maybe I am just jumping the gun and assuming the worst but it does not fill me with confidence when I can no longer login to my support center, it has been 2 months since the charge hit my credit card, and I am no longer receiving responses to my emails. Has anyone else had any problems like this who could advise me on what I can do?
This may sound silly, but...have you tried to contact them via telephone?
Many times when your card is charged there is a telephone number associated with the charge. If you are not able to view this number try calling your bank and asking them for the number associated with the charge. You will quickly get in touch once you get the merchant account involved.
Two months is obviously a very long time and I would suspect it will be an uphill battle seeing as how you are no longer a "client". We've seen this a few times in the past.
Looking at a whois on the nationvoice.com domain you can see that they have used a private registration through godaddy.com - not gonna be much help there.
My suggestion to you my friend, is to follow the money trail.

Be wary of any host that doesn't provide a telephone number. It likely means that they don't really offer 24/7 support like they advertise, and don't want someone to figure that out when they try to call in the middle of the night.
I would recommend that you try hop on their ventrilo server, it is a lot easier to catch one of the head guys there:

Thanks to everyone for all the replies. I already tried contacting my credit card company but sadly they could not do anything about the charge since it was so long ago, I would have disputed it sooner via my credit card company had I know this would happen. I will try the ventrilo server that you guys have posted. Thanks again, will let you know how I get on.
Go to their support @ support.nationvoice.com:3784 If their is a problem they will refund it. They have great support, and are the leading ventrilo provider. Just go to their vent, their is always a support guy. The best person to talk to is Don. You can also try IMing him if you need to contact him.
Thanks again for all your replies everyone. I managed to get in touch with the guys at NationVoice via the Ventrilo server that was posted and all went well. I managed to speak to Don and he has cleared up the matter very easily. Apparantly my credit card company were not accepting the refund for some bizzare reason but I have managed to get it processed another way. Thanks Don and all the other guys at NationVoice. I look forward to returning to your services when my next MMO guild has need for a Ventrilo server.
