Success stories?

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has exhibited in previous years and to know how successful the event was for you. Any advice to new exhibitors?

Other exhibitors can probably tell you more, but from what I saw representing WHT last year, the exhibit hall was a success for most exhibitors. Other exhibitors I talked to were enthusiastic about the interest in their services or products. They said that they'd gotten a lot of leads. They also said, though, that they wouldn't really know how successful the event had been for them until they'd followed up on all those leads afterwards.

Only one exhibitor told me that he wasn't getting the expected results. I don't remember who that was except that his service or product wasn't as targeted for the industry as most others were.

It's possible that people responded positively to me about their success to avoid looking bad. But since I wasn't representing a competitor and wasn't a potential client, I think they were probably sharing their real experiences.

If you exhibit at HostingCon, be prepared for a lot of people coming through on the first day. That day was really busy. The second day still had fairly good traffic, and the third day not that much. But the exhibit hall hours might be different this year to spread the traffic out more.

Lois

Well there were atleast two other DDOS companies there last year. I guess if they come back this year it will tell if it was successful or not. I suspect it was successful those based on my conversations with both of them after the show seems they both plan to be back.

Hi Lois!

We haven't set the final hours yet, but keep in mind that this year the exhibit hall will be open for two days. The conference is still three days long but we're trying to make some adjustments to the schedule so that we get a lot of the conference material in on Monday, leaving some more time on Tuesday and Wednesday for the exhibit hall. There will still be conference content on those days too, but we won't have to pack quite as much in on those days.
