    Anyone has experience with llnwd.net(limelightnetworks.com)

I have a video sharing site which consumes 200G per day.
    I can not offer it.
So I am looking for some solutions.
I found a lot of video sharing sites are using llnwd.net, such as youtube, brightcove, flurl.
when searching llnwd.net on google, there are a lot of subdomain like abc-23.vo.llnwd.net.
I tried to contact llnwd.net, but it's difficult to contact them.
    Anyone have experience with llnwd.net?
How to signup? what's the price? Do they accept adult content?

You're only doing 200GB a day... which is a really small amount. At that commit... you may be paying $150+ per mbit. That's just a rough guess though. Long time ago I read a thread on WHT about this... you'll pay an arm and a leg to get with LimeLight. I doubt they will accept Adult Content.

You should probably go with a 20mbit 95th server on a 100mbit port for hosting.

200GB a day is not much. Just use two servers with a 3000GB/mo allowance and you should be fine. It will cost you way less.

I used to co-locate at LLNW in Phoenix (PHX3 iirc). In brief:

Quality: Excellent. Mostly GBLX transit with private peering when I was there.

Support: Very Good. Great during business hours, remote hands response time would take up to several hours during off hours.

Pricing: Excessive. GBLX transit sells much less than they charge in my experience.

I would definately consider them in the future though if I had a need to be in Phoenix again. They should be good for content distribution and I don't see why they wouldn't accept adult content as it was never a problem when I was there.

There are several CDNs out there that charge far less them Limelight.
However, as pointed out above, for only 200 GB per day just get a dedicated server

Why not just get a dedicated server with unmetered bandwidth. You could easily get a server with 50meg of bandwidth for 400-600, check the dedicated server offers forums.

    Jordan,

Since he's specifically asking about CDN it's likely that he requires geographic redundancy.

I think it depends on how much you're willing to pay per month... my guess is that they charge a LOT more than the ~$10/mbps you'd pay for an unmetered server.

I have had a full rack at LLNW Tempe main office for over 3 years. I also have full rack at HE.net in Fremont, CA> We seem to have way too many network problems at LLNW. In particular the links to Los Angeles always seem to give us trouble, let alone the Tempe colocation site.

Just too many packet loss and other problems. I don't know how they can do streaming with such issues. They seem to not care about their upstreams (Sprint in particular) and told ME to contact Sprint directly about a problem they confirmed. Blah.

In fact, I'm starting to prepare to move out.

A little off topic but its probably better for you to just get an unmetered server or two.

Back in 2003 outages at Tempe were rare to non-existant.
