I never let my uptime exceed 30 days. Means i'm missing out something usually

A reboot is like an oil change, better to get an idea of what issues may be coming up than to run it dry. Maintenance, patches, bios updates, fsck's, fresh restarts, ram upgrades, disk mirror replacements/rebuilds. You name it, better to schedule it than value some insane uptime if you ask me. (of course taking measures to minimize downtime when available.. we mirror sites, setup caches or migrate vps's if need be..)

If your server has been up for a year, then it's certainly not as secure as it should be.
Kernel updates are made for a reason, and there's ALWAYS at least one or two exploits in them. Typically, they're made every 3-4 months, which means you're behind on your kernel.

    Guys, it's a poll

Please, no offense, but it's a poll for those that care to participate, not a quesion or debate on the usefullness of uptime stats.

Also, I agree with you, I never put forth the notion that the uptime stats *meant* anything significant. I'm just curious to see what others have on their boxes.

Hope all these with a really long uptime are part of a load balanced cluster etc. or are not accessible from the general Internet. There's a lot of people with some big kernel holes otherwise.
