Are hostvoice hosts required to abide by user pricing guidelines?
I put in a request on hostvoice, and a host replied to me suggesting I check their website. On their website, i found that none of their offers were in my listed price range, and when i told them that they had no offers in my price range, they told me that "you get what you pay for", i then asked them "why did you answer my ad if you had no intention of meeting my price request?" then they just told me "Because your price request is completely unreasonable.".
The host who did this was razorservers.com. I was just wondering, is this against the rules for hostvoice, or are hostvoice users allowed to send their email regardless of what the user's preference is?

Have you considered contacting hostvoice via the link on their site?
I don't see anything in their terms that would prevent a host from responding to a request that can't be met. In fact, it sounds reasonable to me that there would be a need to contact users who submit requests no host could meet. There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.

I used to use HostVoice. If a request is too unreasonable i'd actually ask them to credit back the $2.00.

I don't think anyone really manages any inet property outside of wht, and since it's owned by inet interactive, and relates directly to webhosting, and was made out of a previous wht feature (leads subscriptions), wht would probably be the suitable place for that kind of discussion.
There should probably be a clause that requires hosts to abide by user request guidelines. Maybe they could add in a little button that says "I'm open to negotiations", and that could give the host the right to contact with options that might be out of that user's stated preference.
