Weapons are used instead of fireworks!

    Hello,

I just got home after celebrating NEW YEAR and I have seen people in my city using guns to shoot in the AIR instead of using fireworks. I saw less noises of fireworks and more noises of guns being used. This is ridiculous, they were using them so unsafely i had to hide somewhere . hehe, does this happen in your city too?

In most civilized countries you would go to jail for shooting a gun aimlessly into the air.

If you shoot into the air to space , there is no harm in it?

Sure there is. What goes up must come down.

We've never had anyone use a gun here to celebrate and 99.9 percent of the population owns one in my town. Even the dumbest rednecks here know it'll rain bullets if they start firing into the air. I have about 5 artillery shells left from 4th of july so i'll be using those for celebration.

We get gunfire on both sides of the Tex-Mex border with the occasional car or child hit by falling projectiles.

Yeah the projectiles raining down are probably more dangerous than the bullet being fired from the gun. I remember a few years back at a horserace, one of the guys shot off the revolver to start the race and someone was hit in the leg, thank god it wasnt their leg or they wouldn't be alive to discuss it. Needless to say I hear most horse races are using blanks now. Discharging a firearm in public without necessary reason (such as self defense) can get you in a lot of ****. Only time I ever been hit was from some pellets from a shotgun shell while hunting, didn't feel too good.

The bullets will fall back down to the earth eventually altho the chances of acually getting hit by one are slim it does happen and people have been killed.

Where I live it is againsed the law to Discharge a firearm in public, people still do it but its fairly uncommon.
I could tell you a joke about UDP. But I'm not sure you would get it!

Some of the rednecks in this area still fire off a few rounds at midnight even though it's definitely illegal here.

And all year 'round, too. Seriously, your aunt needs to move to a better part of town.

So in your WHOLE town. almost everyone has a gun. I find that hard to believe.

They are installing these things in Minneapolis that can detect gun shots and dispatch the police to the location.

She didn't actually live in Los Angeles. She lived in West Hills which was a nice little place.

She doesn't live there anymore though...I convinced her into moving back to New York where she belongs

I heard some rednecks firing their shotguns tonight.

Oxford, MI is a hell of a place to live.
