Due to the interchange - Visa / MasterCard rules and regulations, most United States merchant account providers will not support merchants not based in the United States. However we are able to usually approve merchants that do not have a Social Security Number / Driver's License / State Issued ID number if that merchant has at least a
United States Bank Account
United States Address
United States Phone Number
however the discount rate is 4%, $.35 transaction rate and a 5-day ACH hold on funds with a $10,000 monthly limit.
And to believe that the name "Cardservice International" would stipulate that you allow international merchants. Either you've got your business name very wrong or clever enough....
Normally I would not respond to such a response, but Cardservice International has been around for a very long time. They were one of the ones that allowed merchants to process credits cards from consumers not based in the United States. Wow - can you believe that, a merchant account company did not do that? But things changed and provides started supporting international clients.
Now they used to fully support international merchants as well until Visa / MasterCard decided that was not correct. Visa has different rules for the different regions. You need to go to their site to review the rules for each region. Plus there is also the Patriot Act which then caused more problems for Cardservice in offering merchant accounts.
And can you beleive people create shell companies all the time to process thousands of dollars in just a few days in hopes that the provider does not catch on? And guess who is responsible when all those charges are charged back? The processor.
Businesses are in business to make money and protect themselves. Once you start a business - you will learn that as well.
