i renewed a domain name yesterday morning and it STILL isnt restored yet!

i suspect it is because they are using up my traffic.

I have also been trying to renew a domain for 10 days but it keeps failing, and they deleted my support ticket that asked them to manually renew the domain 10 days ago !

It took me multiple attempts over 18 hours today just to get a live support person in chat, and he said everything is ok with my doms and they apoligise by saying that they have a virus in the system.

I have been here before with these guys... lost too many domains with them.

Can ANYONE renew domains over the last week ?

    Transfer your domains elsewhere !

sad thing is, i just didnt get the renewal notice, i actually have a directi account.

after doing a bit of research, here is what i think...

registerfly is now its own registrar, but before it was enom.

now, when all the names come up for renewal, registerfly has to get them from enom and transfer them into registerfly.

the sucky thing is, i rarely use registerfly and i didnt get the renewal notice, probably went into the spam folder.

the other sucky thing is that it is an old domain that i JUST put up a new site for and ill be darned if it wsant getting a lot of good traffic all of a sudden!

    Registerfly sucks

I too am having registerfly problems. They've not renewed 10 of my domains --- SINCE DECEMBER 23rd. If you've only waited a day -- HAHA.... you'll have days of waiting left. I complain to support daily to no avail.

I have to move my 100+ domain names. This has been the last straw. They simply do not care about their clients. Their web site doesn't seem to work 1/2 the time. Their support does not help in the least. This company is a disaster and I fear that they may just be collecting $ and not renewing domain names.

Can anyone suggest a quality registrar? With an easy to use user account system?

    Thanks!

Its not only the domains that they are resellers for that they screw up....

The dom that I have spent over a week trying to renew (the one that they deleted my requests for manual renewal after it kept failing) was already transfered to them... THEY ARE THE REGISTRARS ... not enom!

If you have a good domain... good luck getting it renewed !

Keep on their back and DEMAND confirmation and record names and times...
There is a class action that is coming together against them.

Transfer all your domains as soon as possible.
There is a lot of good advice on this forum about which are the best registrars.

The best advice I have come across, and now repeat myself is DO NOT DEAL WITH RegFly !
I am absolutely FED UP with these unprofessional idiots !

ANYONE else been told the excuse for the latest cockups is due to viruses on their systems ?

Thank you for writing RegisterFly.com technical support. I see your question is related to the renewal of expired names in your account. Upon researching your account further I have obtained the current pending queue of your domain name renewals. Due to the large volume of names we are processing it can take anywhere from 1 to 5 days to properly process and confirm the renewal of your expired domain names. In order to avoid these situations in the future, please ensure your domain name is renewed at least TWO WEEKS prior to the domain name expiring. We also offer a special coupon code you can use to RENEW names that will discount the renewal price to $6.99 providing it is used at least 10 days before the name expires. Please do not re-open this ticket unless you have something to add to this ticket otherwise it will add to our ticket queue resulting in possible other delays.

Thank you for writing RegisterFly.com technical support. I see your question is related to the renewal of expired names in your account. Upon researching your account further I have obtained that the following names failed during the renewal processing. Failures can be due to a few things such as the name is pending transfer, beyond the allowed grace period or in redemption. A copy appears below:

well great, namecheap is now asking for an EPP code to transfer the names.

i have no way to get an EPP code.

so far ive paid two registrars for two domain renewals and i have nothing.

i have a client with no domain name who paid me on the 21st, i thought the name had been renewed.

i have a traffic site that is down and it looks that it is going to be that way for a while.

note the stupid registerfly canned responses, TWICE!

    Lauren -

You cant transfer a domain once it has expired ! Registerfly offers 30 day grace period however... so if the domain is with them you must renew through them... unless the real registrar is enom (check your WHOIS) and then u can contact enom and they will take the expired name and place in your enom account if you have one.

If the domain is older than 60 days, and not within about 10 days of expiry, you can transfer it elsewhere.

Make sure you have the EPP codes before you initiate the transfer... and also be sure that the domain has been with the current registrar for more than 60 days before you attempt to transfer it away otherwise it will fail (thems the rules).

I knew EPP codes would come back to bite domain owners.

Find out if your domains are in the registerflys system or their old enom reseller account. If they are in the reseller account contact enom they have helped people in your situation before.

i just dont know WHY this is taking so long!

namecheap was kind enough to email me right back and refund my money.

Provided the domains are in the 30 day Renewal Grace Period, eNom will help you. You will have to open an account with them (so do that now... it's free). Then call eNom explain to them the situation and ask them to renew the domain and to put it in your new account. Renewal is $30. However, it seems that RegisterFly have got wise to this and are changing the registrant details to themselves once the domain expires. eNom cannot help you if the registrant is shown to be RegisterFly. Have you checked the whois for the effected domains? Who is showing as the registrant.

"Submitted to queue for batch processing. If the name is already expired it will take around 24 hours to be processed"

    (sorry for my english)

Yes, RegisterFly is well and truly up the creek without a paddle.

I did get some response from them regarding issues with registering new domains but it was not a very helpful response.

Seems like a nice business screaming for a change of management.

Or proof that you only get less than you pay for.
