    PHP Code:
    if(entering_creditcard("Manually")){

    header("Location: http://www.hostcharge.com/");
    } else {

    header("Location: http://www.2checkout.com/");

    PHP Code:
    if ($I_have_ssl == TRUE && $want_to_use_my_forms == TRUE) {

    header("Location: http://www.hostcharge.com");
    } else {

    header("Location: http://www.2checkout.com/");

    The single biggest beneift of HostCharge is that you can actually use your own SSL and your own forms so that the user doesn't have to leave your site. Also as mentioned hostcharge allows manual processing (which means you can easily upgrade the user to a different plan and don't have to make them sign up again).

    I'm still debating at this point, but one thing I do dislike about HostCharge is they charge a "Monthly Fee" for there MCC... if this ever disappears I'll be heading to HostCharge for sure .

    One note about 2CheckOut and upgrading payment plans. You can do that if you email them so you don't have to have the customer sign up all over again. Also they provide great service and support and you don't have to worry about your customer's creditcard information. Also, you can customize their order form to make it look just like if the client never left your website (we have done that).

    I didn't realize that . That was pretty much the seller for me, HostCharge is good, but paying monthly fee's and higher processing fee's just doesn't float my boat.

    As far as this you can email a one time thing.. So you still cannot "upgrade" the billing or cancel the old order with the old plan email them and send a recurring billing to them through email only one time.. I would still suggest 2checkout.

    Asher - Hopefully sooner means within the next week or two .

    2Checkout
    5.5%
    .45$

    HostCharge
    4%
    .50$

    not exactly higher unless your orders are under 75cents

    The biggest benefit for me using 2checkout instead of Hostcharge which was my second choice. At least from what I remember anyway.. Is that 2checkout deposits funds directly into a checking account, while Hostcharge mails you a check.

    Despite some of the recent negative comments, 2checkout has been great. I've used them for some months now and have never run into a problem.

    That is wrong information, you have the choice of a check or wire.

    for wire transfer, 2checkout is better

    2checkout:
    us transfers: free
    international transfers: $35 (-$5 for every $100 transferred. Free if above $1200)

    hostcharge:
    us transfers: not free ($6)
    international transfers: $30 but -$0.50 for every $100 (why so little?). Min. fee is $4. Never free.

    Yes but $10.00 a month and $12.00 chargeback isn't that great either. I know Asher mentioned a no monthly fee option coming soon, however, I doubt the rates mentioned above will be included in this "No monthly fee option".

    The chargebacks aren't a big deal, I've never had a single customer initiate a chargeback, but I don't like the idea of monthly fees.
