Just a question, but why are we not allowed to have referral links if it is pointing to our own websites?

Because it is hard to determine if the website you have a referral link to is your own website.

So basically there is no difference but I suppose it's a security/value purpose
Any leaders able to clarify if i'm right? I too am not sure what the difference is but thats my theory lmao.█ Your reading skill has increased by one point!

Some members use some very "affiliate" type links such as domain.com/referrerID=26 and even more affiliate looking than that even and try passing it off as a WHT tracker. The bottom line is, if it *looks* like an affiliate link, it will be treated as one and removed.

Just to go off what you mentioned earlier - if I put George W. Bush in my signature with a link to the White House, unfortunately that alone does make me the president. It would require several years of riding my horse and hunting on my ranch to be a Bush.
