Probably a basic question
I am using *nix reseller accounts and present and i know most of the admin on the servers is done using telnet.
Is it the same for WIN 2K servers? or is there another way of admining them?
It's normally done through Terminal Services or a VPN like PcAnywhere or VNC.
Basically the same as telnet except that you see the desktop in a window.
Telnet = bad. Very unsecure. I think you'll find most admin with *nix is done through SSH, or at least it should be...

sorry yeah i meant ssh, the thing is in the next year i am hoping to get a server, i am competent with windows 2000 but i dont know ssh/telnet and i wanted to know if it would be better for me to get a windows server and whether they are easier to admin
win easier to admin over nix
But Win is more expensive the *nix, that is Linux.
Are you saying you can with your Win server and view the content live on your desktop??? Folders, documents, etc??
