It’s a better site, have you guys seen the new terms regarding Vista....

Say you buy a license Windows Vista, then add something to your computer and it needs to be reissued.

The new rule is you can only do it 2 times after that you must buy a new license.

They also say once you say build another computer ( replacement ) then transfer it, you can now only do that 2 times…

So be careful if you add things after as it could lead to you having to buy a new license.

Windows XP actually has the same protections built in, in the form of the activation process. If you change too many pieces from the original configuration, it treats itself as a new PC.

Also what classifies as a "significant piece" were things such as video cards, motherboards, and I don't remember what else, but it wasn't very much.

It looks nicer, but it's a hell of a lot slower. Run your mouse over the navigation bar on the left and you'll see what I mean.

Personally, I prefer the design greatly to the previous one.

That's incorrect. Vista's rules say you have to BUY a new license. XP is not the same. You can easily call in and do your verification over the phone if you use up all your activations. I have had to do it many times.

That is why Window 98 is better. Window 98 have more power. Vistia is probably better. What would you do if you want reformated your computer from a clean state?

This change was placed in on the 14th of December, or perhaps even a little bit earlier. I noticed this change immediately after I went the their Vista launch party thing they held ( http://www.microsoft.com/canada/anew...t/default.aspx ).
