    How to limit mail queue?

    Hi,
I want to limit the time that undelivered emails are kept in the email queue.
My server uses Fedora with WHM/CPanel.
Would be grateful for advice as undelivered emails (rejected spam) has been clogging up the mail queue on one of my VPS servers.

    TIA

I assume this is exim. There are a few commands you can put into cron jobs on your server:

    Code:
    exim -qff
    Code:
    exim -bpru |awk '{print $3}' | xargs -n 1 -P 40 exim -v -M
and the following command will completely wipe your mail queue:

    Code:
    exim -bpru|awk {'print $3'}|xargs exim -Mrm
