Another "find me a host" thread...

    Hello all,

I'm looking for a host for a personal website, to mainly host my photos:

    - Great pings for Europe (or even located in Europe)
    - Reliable
    - Secure
    - Great and knowledgeable customer support 24/7/365
    - POP/IMAP email
    - Spam filter
    - Backups
    - Around 1Gb in space
    - Around 2Gb BW/Month
    - Scripts
    - Domain pointers
    - Private IP
    - Password protected directories
    ...Loads of other stuff.

I'd pay up to $10 / month, but for that price, I'd really need a very reliable company.

Last year, all anyone could recommend was Site5 but they seem to have lost their reputation now.

I'm interested in Pair and Lunar Pages, but their sites don't seem that quick...

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hello,

from your 2 candidates, I would probably select pair.

You may also want to consider relio - they have servers in the US and Europe and seem to have a good reputation.

    Hope this helps...

You may want to search about both of them, there are many reviews about their services.

I would check the Offers section here at WHT, and I would also post your requirements in the Requests section.

Go with a host that does not oversell.

Dan, since when did we have a requests section on WHT?

mr_netcat, I've been with Cartika Hosting (who replied to you already) for over 10 months now and I am quite satisfied. Next to no downtime, great support and overall fantastic support with interesting people to chat with.

I would go with LunarPages. Excellent service, and a team that work like a family. Check their blog and forum. Lots of happy customers.

Yes, it would be ideal to have a dedicated area, but there's no reason users cannot post their hosting requirements here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=97.

Yes, there is. No requests for hosting are allowed anywhere here:

Another one-post wonder getting himself banned from WHT.
