Same DC & Network, different speeds

I'm getting complaints on download speed from a couple of servers in Europe. Strangely enough it has been reported that some servers are fast, and some are slow....but they are all on the same network. Server system load is <1 on all of them also.

And to make it even more weird: From a fast server near by they all do 80Mbit. So it probably wont be the webserver software. But from hosts in the US some people say that one server sometimes is faster than the other.

Could you guys do a speedtest for me, preferably from a network in the US? So I can compare traceroutes from the different servers, maybe somewhere *something* goes haywire in the route

#1 10mb.bin
#2 10mb.bin
#3 10mb.bin

Thanks

Well here is from NY (RoadRunner) cable.

1.200kb/s up/down
2.600kb/s steady
3.200kb/s up/down

If you want from a server then I guess I can do so.

Thanks guys Unfortunately that supports the complaints I have gotten Would you mind posting (or PM'ing) your IP so I can run a traceroute? Or the IP of your internet gateway (1st hop in a traceroute), that works also

Thanks for the help everybody

Together with the DC we have found a possible explanation, it has to do with routing of inbound traffic. Could somebody please test if the performance has changed?

Should be fast: http://net2.xandrios.net/10mb.bin
Should be slow: http://net3.xandrios.net/10mb.bin
Hopefully fast (??): http://net3-testfix.xandrios.net/10mb.bin

/me keeps fingers crossed...hopefully this net3-testfix IP is faster than the other net3 server

Thanks a lot

Seems like the problem has not been fixed unfortunately. I'll probably have to cancel the boxes, only one is as fast as needed
