    Email Piping

    Hi,
I am having some issues setting up email piping to WHMCS. I have created the support departments in my administration center and have now proceeded to add the forwarder.

This is the format which WHMCS has instructed its users to use for piping:
    " | php -q /path/to/whmcs/pipe/pipe.php"

Mind you I am using Cpanel on a Linux based server environment. I feel like a complete idiot for struggling with this!

I configured the line of code to the following:
    | php -q /home/*username*/public_html/pipe/pipe.php

When I try to put that into the forwarder, and then test the system, I get a returned mail delivery notice. It appears in the online webmail for the account, just will not forward.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    Mike

    You forgot the "whmcs folder".

    | php -q /home/*username*/public_html/pipe/pipe.php what you have

    | php -q /home/*username*/public_html/whmcs/pipe/pipe.php what it should be

    On cPanel you can use:

    |/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/*username*/public_html/whmcs/pipe/pipe.php

    Then you may have to:

    chmod 777 /home/*username*/public_html/whmcs/pipe/pipe.php
    chmod +x /home/*username*/public_html

That has to be done with Kayako but with the install just in public_html. You may need to chmod +x /home/*username*/public_html/whmcs since that's where it's located.

    You forgot the "whmcs folder".
It is installed in the root public html directory.

Ok this is officially embarrassing. I knew I wasn't this dumb. I was entering in the wrong username. I forgot that I was installing this on my remote support server (different username) than my regular hosting one. Whoops!! A quick fix of my username error fixed the problem right away.

    Thanks!
