Dedicated Server w/firewall and unmetered 3mb/s connection only $75/mo

No contract needed. Month to month services only.

We currently have two promotions. One with pure Cogent connectivity and the other with connectivity from 9 Tier 1 providers.

The pure Cogent connectivity promotion is for a Celeron 1 Ghz processor, 512 MB ram, and a 40 GB HDD with a 3 mb/s unmetered connection for $75/mo with a $75 install.

Our other promotion places your web server about 50 ft from direct connectivity to all of the following. UUnet, ATT, Sprint, Genuity, Global Crossing, Cable and Wireless, Qwest, Verio and one more Tier 1 provider. This allows us to offer 55ms or better response times and 100% uptime guarantee for all network connectivity. This is the Internap network. We offer credits when we miss SLA objectives (~2 days for each occurrence). The server is a Celeron 1 Ghz processor, 512 MB ram, 40 GB HDD, and 420 GB transfer for $99/mo and a $99 install. Ensim 3.1 is included.

Our Cogent gateway is 66.28.28.90 and this InterNap nameserver is in our cage (216.52.190.1). Ping and traceroute from various looking glasses for response times and multiple paths to our datacenter. Our Cogent link hasn't been down in 9 months (we've only had it 9 months).

EVERY server is behind a firewall for prevention of DOS/DDOS, SYN Flood and a whole list of other hacker attacks. Contact me for the entire list. This ensures you're not wasting resources on unwanted traffic types. We also have 400 GB of cache in place to accelerate web page access. Other network features available are server load balancing, SSL acceleration, full blown firewalls, rate limiting by traffic type, and Intrusion detection to name a few.

Additional Cogent bandwidth is $30 per mb (unmetered) and Internap bandwidth is $1.25/GB over 420 GB.

See our Cogent ping times below.
From 66.28.28.90 to www.verio.com (204.0.52.20) min/avg/max=84ms/84ms/84ms

From 66.28.28.90 to www.CW.com (204.71.140.70) min/avg/max=80ms/80ms/80ms

From 66.28.28.90 to www.att.com (135.145.9.134) min/avg/max=44ms/44ms/44ms

From 66.28.28.90 to www.qwest.com (199.168.32.62) min/avg/max=58ms/58ms/58ms

Upgrade cost:
Add 512 mb memory: $29/mo and $29 setup
Upgrade to PIII 1 Ghz: One time fee of $99
Add 40 GB HDD : One time fee of $99
Add Ensim to Cogent promo: $15/mo
Full Firewall: $29/mo
Data backup: $2/Gb per month
All servers are based on Red Hat 7.2

24/7 live support and reboots are free with 25 minute response time guarantees. We ping your server and if it stops responding, we will send you a notice and automatically reboot your server (you can disable this feature). You can also subscribe to a software management package that will give you software updates for a small monthly fee.

Contact sales@transoptics.com for more information and to place an order. We have fixed quantities of servers so these will go fast.

Great offer.

And one thing, what about extra IPs?

Extra IPs are free once you use your first set. (2 in the begginning). We also require name based hosting where possible.

We do have more powerful servers. After 6PM or so, go to www.transoptics.com/hostmania and you will see the site we are putting on line in the next day or so. It has some nice details.

Control panels are up to you. We offer Ensim in our packages and we also have H-Spere available. If you want Plesk or some othe control panel, contact us and we'll make it happen.

Thumbs up

This looks like a great deal! I'm very interested in purchasing a server. I'd like to have a control panel like H-Sphere to admin subdomains, but I also require things like the Zend Optimizer, GD2.0.1, and ImageMagick... will those cause problems? If so, what is included in a standard server.

Thanks,

Mark

This is your server, so you decide the programs. Can you send links to the software you mentioned to support@transoptics.com

i.e. Zend Optimizer, GD2.0.1, and ImageMagick

My tech guys will research them and have a price for you pretty quickly. Once we have the package loaded, we can deploy them on multiple servers in a matter of minutes.

I've ordered one of the 3MBIT deals, be it with a P3 800 mhz they still had in stock. So far they have been very flexible and very helpfull and this is one of the few places I found that supports H-Sphere. I'll post an update when my server goes online.

We have a datacenter going online in London in the next 2-3 months. Nothing as of today.

Our Internap connectivity has some pretty nice performance times in Asia and Europe. Go to some looking glasses and test the IPs.
