ErrorDocument 404 /index.php
I put ErrorDocument 404 /index.php in my .htaccess
Is it possible, to put
ErrorDocument 404 /index.php?variablename=value
I tried and it doesn't seem to work. In fact, the 404 instruction doesn't seem to work at all.
It seems that apache tries to find a file named /index.php?variablename=value and throw 404 exception because it cannot find it.
in your .htaccess - add these lines
ErrorDocument 404 http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?variablename=value
When i tried it, it worked O_o;
In reply to your post, .htaccess of course can handle this as long as you have your script set up to also process the variable.
You mean I have to add the yourdomainname.com and otherwise it doesn't work?
Hmm..... I must have done a mistake. Actually /index.php?variablename=value works fine.
However, if in index.php I write:
echo $variablename I got empty.
In index.php use
