    Machine crashes every few months

My machine seems to lock up for no apparent reason every few months. It's not out of disk space. I don't see how it could have run out of swap space (although I can't prove that it didn't). It's running Red Hat Linux 7.2 with kernel 2.4.7.

Any ideas on why my machine crashes?

One thought that I have: My machine seems to have non-ECC RAM. Could random memory errors be causing this?

Check the logs - but my guess is memory leaks - a couple of months isnt bad either, especially if you push a server - just imagine how fragmented RAM gets on it... anyway my moneys on memory leaks - post the last 20 entrys of /var/log/messages before the server locks below (if you still have it)...

I don't think /var/log/messages says anything helpful. I've checked it every time the machine crashed but never found anything...

Note that the system clock messes up whenever it reboots, which is why the last two lines have an earlier time entry (but they really happened later). The last two lines are from when I had the machine rebooted.
